- Low or uneven water pressure from a faucet

- Corrosion, rust, or mineral buildup on the fixture
- Trouble with temperature control, where you can't get the water as hot or cold as it should be
Frequently Asked Questions
How much water does a dripping faucet waste?
More than most people expect. A faucet that drips once per second can waste several thousand gallons over a year, which shows up on your water bill month after month. A faster drip wastes even more. Beyond the cost, a steady drip usually signals a worn part inside the faucet that will keep getting worse until it is repaired. Fixing it early is the cheapest and simplest path.
Should I repair or replace a dripping faucet?
It depends on the faucet. If the fixture is in good shape and the drip is caused by a worn cartridge, washer, or seal, a repair is usually the right call and far less expensive than replacement. If the faucet is corroded, cracked, leaking from several points, or simply old and outdated, replacing it often makes more sense. We will inspect your fixture, recommend the best option, and provide an estimate before we start.
Can I supply my own faucet and have Edwards install it?
Yes. If you have purchased a faucet you like, we are glad to install it for you. If you would rather we help you choose one, we can recommend quality fixtures and install them. We make sure your new fixture is sealed properly and working before we leave.
How long does faucet installation take?
A standard faucet replacement typically takes one to two hours. That includes removing the old fixture, cleaning the surface, installing and sealing the new faucet, connecting the supply lines, and testing for leaks. If there are complications underneath, such as corroded shut-off valves or worn supply lines, it may take longer. We will always explain what we see before completing additional work.
What causes low water pressure at one faucet?
When the pressure drops at a single faucet while the rest of the house is normal, the cause is usually local to that fixture. The most common culprit is a clogged aerator, the small screen at the tip of the spout, which collects mineral buildup over time. A worn cartridge or a partially closed shut-off valve can also reduce flow. These are typically quick fixes once we identify the issue.
